APRN Explained

Why APRN? – APRN Certification

Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) have grown in numbers and clinical capabilities over the past years with nurse practitioners, registered nurse anesthetists, certified nurse-midwives, and clinical nurse specialists playing an integral part of today’s health care system. Because of the importance of APRNs in caring for the needs of patients, the education, accreditation, certification and licensure of APRNs needed to be better effectively aligned. APRN certification is an essential component to practice.
